The tasting room we have planned for our future winery isn’t just for the visual experience, the height serves an important function in our winemaking process. Gravity filtration in winemaking is a method used for clarifying and stabilizing wine by using gravity to separate solid particles from liquid. The gravity filtration process greatly contributes to sustainability in the winemaking process in several ways:
Energy Efficiency – Unlike forced filtration systems that require constant energy over a long period of time, gravity filtration purely relies on the natural force of gravity.
Preservation of Wine Quality – By avoiding the use of mechanical systems that can potentially alter the wine’s characteristics, gravity filtration allows for the preservation of the wine’s natural flavors and qualities, promoting a sustainable process and product for consumers.

Bottles Designed to Fit the Cork in the Punt for Easy Recycling
It’s becoming a necessity for a prosperous and equitable future for all. One of the ways we’re sustainable is the collection of all of our packaged materials with the intention of either recycling or reusing. When it comes to our bottles, our plan is to collect and accept all the packaging materials that are given to our customers upon sale. The only thing we don’t want back is the wine!
Sustainability is so important to us that we designed our bottles to include a cork holder on the bottom of the bottle to facilitate the return of the cork with the bottle. Our corks are then donated to a recycling program that creates new consumer and industrial products, ensuring they stay out of the waste stream for as long as possible.
